You should bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and a towel. You might also consider a camera and binoculars. Some warm clothes and a raincoat may be needed in poor weather. If you are fishing you should also bring an esky (or similar) to take your catch home in. And of course your sense of adventure!

If you are not accustomed to going boating and out to sea you should take the necessary precautions. Ask you doctor or pharmacist for help. There are tablets, magnetic wristbands and a range of other measures that may help to prevent you from becoming sea sick.
Best to avoid drinking alcohol on the evening before we go and have a reasonable breakfast avoiding fatty foods.
Even on the calmest of days there is movement on the ocean.
Other tips that may help include:
- Get a good night’s sleep the night prior.
- Have light breakfast (no rich or fatty foods). It is important to eat breakfast as being hungry can lead to nausea.
- Avoid going into the toilet or inside cabin, the fresh sea air does help.
- Look out at the horizon or at the land. This helps your sense of balance.
- Avoid looking down at screens such as phones, iPads, cameras.
- If you do start to feel seasick please do not worry, let our crew know and they will do their best to help you.
Pittwater is approximately 35 kms from Sydney CBD. Depending on the time of day this can take between 45 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes.
